Welcome!

I can transform your great ideas into a great website.

Hi, my name is Peter Chapman and I am a designer at heart.

I more specifically describe myself as a Visual Web Designer. I currently contract through Bezwax Inc. for Verizon.com Residential. For them I handle site-wide banner creatives done in flash as well as static banners. I’ve got an extensive knowledge of CSS and XHTML, thus having a unique perspective on designing for the web. I’ve created many websites which I will be posting soon on my portfolio section. I have over 10 years experience in what I do and all of that’s been in a pressure cooker environment. My professional path has resulted from an innate love of two seemingly diverse things; anything artistically, musically compelling and technical “geekery” - or how things work and how to make things work.

I’m also an Expression Engine addict - for those that don’t know, Expression Engine is the “Other” CMS - verses WordPress, although I can set sites to WordPress as well. So I can create a website for you, set it to a CMS (Expression Engine, WordPress etc.) so you can edit it, add to it, bump up your SEO visibility and I can even photograph your products if needed. Contact me here about what you need please.

I love photography, pretty much starting at age 15 through film using a Brownie camera and now to digital thanks to my awesome new Nikon D90. My Flickr page here.

My greatest achievement however is being a father to our daughter and a happy husband to my wife. I am truly blessed with a great family. I love getting together with our friends, doing whatever. Sometimes that’s purveying different Pinot’s, Cabernet’s or hop contents of beers with an occasional cigar. I’m quite involved with our Presbyterian church, especially in Mercy Ministries. When with friends, we generally solve all the problems of the world each weekend only to be presented with a whole new set upon Monday’s arrival. Love catching surf regardless of water temperature,

Best regards,
Pete
